Sabah Eco Tours - 4 Days

Meet arrival roughly 2 hours’ journey travel to south of Kota Kinabalu to the town of Weston. Along the way, the beach of Kinarut and Papar offers the chance to purchase fresh dried anchovies and shrimps from roadside stalls. En’ route stop by for a famous “SATAY PAPAR”, Local fruit and “IKAN BILIS” stall.

Arrive at “LUBOK WESTON” for surprise, you can easily find the pitcher plants here, and finally, here’s a shot of some of those incredible little pitcher plant. Arrive at river side lodge for tea break before joining the boat cruise in search of the wonderful wildlife of Sabah. Keep your eyes peeled for the proboscis monkeys, egrets, eagles, macaques and even crocodiles. Return to the lodge for a simple dinner while waiting for the fireflies to emerge.

Return to Kota Kinabalu by 21:30 and check in to city hotel for the night.

Tea Break : Weston Kampung Style

Dinner : Weston Kampung Style Buffet

Depart from the hotel to Borneo Kellybay, arrival and proceed for Mangrove cruise by floating pondok to a beach that stretches 8 KM overlooking south china sea. Activities include fish/crab catching, fishing, surfing, banana boat, paddle boat,kayak, batik painting, blow pipe & sumptuous buffet BBQ lunch.

Return to Hotel, en’route shopping for souvenir. Proceed to Jalan Sulaiman – must try iced coconut pudding – an ambrosial Sabahan treat. Continue you journey to Gayang Seafood for dinner (own expenses).

Lunch : Borneo Kellybay Buffet Style

Depart from the hotel. The journey takes roughly 2 hours’ drive through scenic countryside and beautiful mountain range. A brief stop at Nabalu Market gives you the opportunity to buy local handicrafts and local fruits. Another 1 hour drives through mountainous range to reach Poring Hot Springs.

A 20 minutes hike is needed to reach the Treetop Canopy Walkway. Experience the height of 41 meters from the forest’s floor and the length of 157.6 meters. Take a bird’s eye view of the rainforest. After the rainforest walk, Take a dip in the outdoor Japanese style bathtub which the sulphuric hot water believed to have medicinal value to your skin.

Return to Kundasang, Sabah’s vegetables growing valley. Visit to Rose Garden. Visit Kundasang War Memorial, a tribute to remember the 2,428 Australian and British prisoners of war who died during the Sandakan Death Marches and at the Sandakan.

Then continue to the Desa Cattle farm, this rolling green meadows stretching as far as to the foothill of Mount Kinabalu is home to dairy cattle’s offering a fantastic view. Proceed to Kinabalu Park and learn the values that kept in all the types of plants, trees and flowers for the local community while being amazed with the plants diversity that the park has to offer. Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu.

Meal by own expenses

Proceed to Fung Seng seafood factory and Chocolate Boutique buying a Sabah seafood and chocolate. Transfer to the airport for flight home.
