Ancient Silk Road – Kazakhstan - 10 Days

• Assemble at Changi International Airport for your flight to Bangkok. Connect flight from Bangkok to Almaty on Air Astana.

• Upon arrival Almaty International Airport, transfer to the hotel before proceeding to dinner in a local restaurant.

• Overnight stay at Almaty.

• Shymbulak Ski Resort (30 mins to get there) – The resort is located in the upper part of the Medeu Valley in the Zailisky Alatau mountain range. It is popular for its mild climate, large quantity of sunny days and great amount of snow through the winter (from November till May).

• Shymbulak Gondola Cable Car Ride – enjoy the panoramic scenic view of Medeo Gorge. It is well known due to the highest mountain skating rink in the world. Gondola Cable Car Ride subject to weather condition.

• Park of 28 Panfilov Guardsmen – Built in memory of the fallen heroes in the Great Patriotic War.

• Orthodox Church – the only wooden Cathedrals in the world. It is built without using any nails which makes it pretty unique.

• Museum of Kazakh Musical Instruments – the museum displays folk musical instruments. The local guide will introduce you to Soviet history and Kazakh Cultures.

• Rakhat chocolate factory – Rakhat which means pleasure in Kazakh is the oldest manufacturer of chocolates dating back to almost 70 years. Around 3500 workers work in basically 2 factories, one located in Almaty and one in Shymkent city.

• Green Bazaar – a great chance to experience an atmosphere of the real eastern market, its colors, smells and crowds. There you can purchase famous Oriental sweets, but don’t forget to bargain.

• Central Mosque – A very beautiful building with friendly and magical atmosphere within.

• Dinner (Kazakh national Cuisine).

• 拉哈特( Rakhat)巧克力工厂 – 我们爱阿拉木图。不管你喜欢巧克力还是甜食在阿拉木图的拉哈特巧克力工厂定能满足你的喜好。这座工厂位于泽恩科慌街( Zenkova Street),当您抵达拉哈特的金色大门时,那甜甜的香味便扑鼻而来。拉哈特在哈萨克语中的意思是“快乐”,它的创建历史最早可追溯到70年前,是哈萨克最早的巧克力制造商。目前在阿拉木图和奇姆肯特市的两座工厂, 约有3500名工人。他们还为糖尿病患者制作巧克力和低卡路里产品如糖果、曲奇和松饼,这些都很受顾客的欢迎。

• Central Museum – one of the biggest museums of Central Asia, where you will learn more about history and development of the country.

• Republic Square – is the main square in Almaty used for public events. The former presidential palace, now used as municipal offices, is on its south side. In 1986, an infamous uprising known as Jeltoqsan occurred in this square.

• Big Almaty Lake – is natural alpine reservoir located in the Trans-Ili Alatau Mountains. It lies in a hollow like a gleaming mirror, surrounded on all sides by majestic peaks. (Autumn/Spring/Summer Season: April till October).

• Enjoy Picnic Lunch near the Lake Area.

• Sunkar Falcon Farm – a so called conservatory for the wild bird’s native to the region. The Farm breeds the Golden Eagle, and is sold to enthusiasts around the world. Enjoy the Golden Eagles show whereby they are trained to hunt at the farm.

• Tamgaly Rock Carvings – a picturesque place that attracts many tourists. The same petroglyphs like in Kazakhstan have also been found in Kyrgyzstan, China, India Pakistan and Tibet.

• Tamgaly petroglyphs – one of the oldest and most striking monuments of rock art of Zhetisu, which is included to the World Heritage List of UNESCO.

• Bayterek Observation Tower – a monument, at the heart of a large square centred on the Nurzhol Boulevard, has become a symbol of Astana and indeed of post-independence Kazakhstan.

• Palace of Peace and Reconciliation (Pyramid) – is a symbol of friendship unity and peace in Kazakhstan.

You can see unique archive documents, scientific materials, books written by Nazarbaev, gift collections, awards and many other interesting items revealing the work of the first president of the country and the newest history of Kazakhstan.

• Khan Shatyr – this famous eco-building is the largest marquee with shopping and entertainment facilities.

• On board your flight back to Singapore via Almaty and Bangkok.
