Overview

Yogyakarta (often called “Jogja”) is a city on the Indonesian island of Java known for its traditional arts and cultural heritage. Its ornate 18th-century royal complex, or kraton, encompasses the still-inhabited Sultan’s Palace. Also within the kraton are numerous open-air pavilions that host classical Javanese dance shows and concerts of gamelan music, characterized by gongs, chimes and plucked string instruments.

Itinerary

Day 1
ARRIVE YOGYAKARTA – GAMPLONG VILLAGE (L/D)

On arrival in Yogyakarta, you will be met and commencing your holiday and experience Yogyakarta’s culture and photogenic nature landscape. Yogyakarta is indeed a city with numerous attractions to enjoy. Your natural wonders will be started by exploring the Glampong Nature Studio, an open-air nature studio featuring period-style buildings for movie shoots & photo ops. It is an ideal spot for photo taking and selfie. Have fun and enjoy the time in Yogyakarta. Early evening, you are transferred to your accommodation for your next four nights.

Day 2
MOUNTAIN JEEP TRAIL & ANCIENT HINDU TEMPLE (B/L/D)

Yogyakarta is indeed a city with numerous attractions to enjoy. This morning, a short journey takes you to Kaliadem village. Riding off-road jeeps up the dangerous slopes of Merapi on an off-road adventure of the devastated area covered by ash and lava in the last eruption. The rushing feeling of adrenaline will keep in as your Jeep zigzags over the trail. Get thrill on a bumpy lava road to the Merapi Bunker to enjoy the view of Merapi Mountain right before your very eyes. On your way down a visit will also be made at the Alien Stone, My Heritage Musem and picturesque The Lost World Park for photo taking. The journey continues south to the Magelang Region. Next Stop for Lunch will be at
Kotagede, an ancient and oldest village in Yogyakarta. The last place to be visited will be Prambanan village. Home to the ancient Hindu Temple, the Prambanan Temple. Built in the 9th century, it claimed to be the most beautiful and charming temple in Indonesia. The temple has also been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. Stroll around the temple ground area and capture the moment and take some poses on camera with the Temple background.

Day 3
TIMANG BEACH & ANCIENT VOLCANO TRAIL (B/L/D)

Discover the Gunung Kidul Region and experience its breathtaking beauty firsthand. Thrilling with an off-road adventure through picturesque
landscapes, which promises an unforgettable day of excitement and exploration. You may walk through the suspension bridge to Timang coral island. Or pump your adrenalin by taking a gondola ride to a coral island (at your own cost). With raging surf and salty sea breezes it will be hard not to feel rejuvenated and refreshed as soon as you arrive here. Experience eats like local, as you will have on floor-sitting style lunch at the local warung Pak Sis for an authentic Javanese style Seafood Lobster Cuisine Lunch.This afternoon, Take the journey south to Nglanggeran village, a mountain area that was lithological formed by old volcanic material fragments. This place is shaped like a giant rock mountain that stretches approximately 800 meters with a height up to 300 meters. Gunung Purba Nglanggeran is an ancient volcano that used to be active 60-70 million years ago. Within the areas is Embung Nglanggeran (Nglanggeran Pond). It is best to climb to this pond and cherish the view during sunrise or sunset.

Day 4
SOUTHERN COASTAL SUNSET & OCEAN CLUB DINING (B/D)

Morning at leisure for relax and unwind. Take this opportunity to explore your surrounding area for a local authenticity of its culinary or shops for locally made souvenirs and crafts.This afternoon, you will be met by your Local Concierge and drive south to the Parangtritis Beach, Yogyakarta’s number one beach. The beach is prominent for its long shoreline, sand dunes, and gray volcanic sand. While waiting for the
magnificent sunset to come, you may experience beach-horse cart riding (at your own cost) and ride along the coastline while enjoying the panoramic southern coastal and ocean view. Another activity you might experience is ATV Ride to pump your adrenaline up and experience riding along the coastline. At early evening, enjoying the ocean club dining at the Obelix.
• Dinner tonight served at the Obelix Ocean Club overlooking the Parangtritis Beach and Indian Ocean. It is an ideal spot to watch the sunset.

Day 5
DEPART YOGYAKARTA (B)

Depending on your departure flight timing, you will have free day in the morning before taken to the airport, in time of your departure, for your International Flight Home. Ends of your 5 Days Yogyakarta’s Landmark Journey
