Kapas Island

Kapas Island, situated near the city of Kuala Terengganu on the eastern part of the peninsula, is approximately 6 kilometers east of Marang, Malaysia. Adjacent to it lies a smaller island, Pulau Gemia, to the north. Spanning roughly 1.5 by 2.5 km, Kapas Island derives its name, Pulau Kapas (Malay for cotton island), from its pristine white beaches.
